Removing Intimate Images

Last updated: September 4, 2026

If an intimate image or video of you was posted on Songcry without your consent, tell us and we will remove it. You do not need a lawyer and you do not need to explain yourself.

How to tell us

Email takedown@songcry.app with:

  • Your name and a way to reach you.
  • Enough detail for us to find the content. A link, a username, or a song or post title.
  • A statement that the image or video is of you and that you did not consent to it being posted.
  • Your signature, typed or written.

If you are making the request on behalf of someone else, tell us who you are and that you are authorized to act for them.

What happens next

We remove the content within 48 hours of receiving a valid request. We also make reasonable efforts to find and remove copies of the same content elsewhere on Songcry.

We would rather remove something and be wrong than leave it up while we deliberate.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. The Cyber Civil Rights Initiative operates a crisis helpline at 844-878-2274.

What this page is

This is Songcry's notice and removal process for nonconsensual intimate imagery, published under the TAKE IT DOWN Act (Pub. L. 119-12).

Requests about copyright go to our DMCA Designated Agent instead. That process is described in our Terms of Use. Everything else, including reports of other content that breaks our rules, goes to support@songcry.app.
